The time of teachers, school administrators and students must be used more effectively if substantial gains are to be realized. Proper use of the technology will free the time now spent by teachers in giving information, providing more time for teachers to help students in thinking with information. Once the information giving, and drill and practice components of teaching are handled technologically, teachers will be freed to spend more time working with children in small groups to help them think with information. Multi-media technology used in the program will include interactive video, CD-ROM, authoring systems, and hands-on practice in utilizing these systems in the classroom. Appropriate opportunities will be provided for teachers and administrators who work with special populations. Application of computer based management systems to educational programs may also be included. Key Benefits
