Eric's 2nd Course

Concept

Mr. Weaver has spent the last few years developing urban agriculture solutions within his Seminole Heights neighborhood. The Rainwater Capture Greenhouse (RCG) was originally developed to address watering restrictions in Tampa. Following its construction, the University of South Florida filed for a patent and is currently seeking to license it to a manufacturing firm.

Background

Mr. Weaver created this course through consulting the Patel Center graduate students engaged with rebuilding the RCG to include aquaculture and hydroponics. Dr. Sudeep Vyapari, the Director for the Institute of Florida Studies at Hillsborough Community College requested a new course outline tailored to exemplify this for the "Beyond Sustainability II Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Economy: Creating Nexuses" Conference. This course centers on developing skills for creating an urban agriculture business in your local community.
